Chapter 29: Liu Yifei: Is This Little Brat Threatening Me?
[Page 1/3]
【Liu Yifei performed a "Chest-Press Kill" on you. Chest Muscle +0.1 / Chest Definition +1】
Hearing this sound, Zhang Li, like Liu Yifei, instinctively stiffened. A simple bit of playful jostling through just a layer of clothing actually counted as a "Chest-Press Kill." And that wasn't even the main point—he actually gained an attribute boost, and specifically for his chest! He was a full-grown man, for heaven's sake...
"That’s a new one..." Feeling a subtle, strange sensation radiating from his chest, Zhang Li’s mouth twitched slightly.
The same feeling hit Liu Yifei, intensifying the weirdness in her heart. The tingling sensation came as quickly as it went, like a tiny ant bite. She couldn't tell if it was the breath from Zhang Li leaning too close or if a supernatural phenomenon had truly occurred.
"Probably an auditory hallucination."
"How could there be anything supernatural?"
"But according to the web novels I read, the 'chosen one' usually only awakens their cheat after falling from grace, which is a lot like my current situation being suppressed by Huayi."
"I'll have to find time to test this."
Influenced by Zhang Li, Liu Yifei had started reading male-oriented web novels; without realizing it, the once-ordinary girl was becoming a bit of a "chuunibyou" herself.
"Let's head in. Don't keep your guests waiting."
Everything happened in a flash of thought for both of them. Liu Yifei nonchalantly pushed Zhang Li’s head away and then naturally reached out to link her arm with his. Whenever she had time off in the past, she loved dragging Zhang Li along on trips around the world; their "safe distance" had long since been reduced to zero.
"They’re all Beijing Film Academy acting students. They’ll probably be thrilled to see you," Zhang Li whispered into Liu Yifei's ear. "Even if we’re late, they’ll think it was worth it."
"So, you brought me here to show off?" Liu Yifei tilted her head slightly, arching an eyebrow. Under the lights, her face was dazzling, almost otherworldly.
"You’re my sister, Liu Yifei. Isn't that the ultimate flex?" Zhang Li grinned.
The two chatted naturally. As veteran actors, neither let the other see that anything felt out of the ordinary.
*Click!*
As Cai Biyun and the others waited in anticipation, Zhang Li pushed open the private room door and walked in with Liu Yifei.
"Hiss!"
Cai Wenjing and the others immediately glanced at Jing Tian in unison. She had actually guessed it right—Zhang Li had brought Liu Yifei!
This was Liu Yifei! She had debuted at fifteen, starring alongside Chen Kun and Dong Jie. Her roles as Zhao Ling'er, Wang Yuyan, and the Little Dragon Maiden had made her an instant legend. Before turning twenty, she was already mentioned in the same breath as the "Two Bingbings and Four Dan Actresses." Earlier this year, *The Forbidden Kingdom* was released, with Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Li Bingbing playing supporting roles to her.
And now, she was standing right in front of them, just like that.

Dou Xiao and the others stood up subconsciously, followed by Cai Wenjing and the other girls. Jing Tian frowned slightly, but remembering that Liu Yifei was technically her senior, she decided to stand up to greet her as well.
However, Liu Yifei spoke faster than she could move: "Why are you all standing? Sit down, sit down. I’m not a school administrator here for an inspection."
Zhang Li, still having his arm held by her, chimed in: "It’s just a Beijing Film Academy alumni gathering today. Everyone, relax."
Dou Xiao, Cai Wenjing, and the others: "..."
Who could actually stay calm seeing Liu Yifei in person? At the very least, those of them aspiring to enter the industry couldn't.
But with Liu Yifei and Zhang Li putting it that way, everyone sat back down. Zhang Li returned to his seat, and Liu Yifei sat beside him naturally, a gentle smile on her face. "Hello, juniors. I’m Liu Yifei. I’m very happy to be dining with you all tonight."
*Oh my god, who doesn't know you're Liu Yifei?*
"We're happy, so happy," the three guys, including Dou Xiao, stammered like idiots.
Zhang Li just picked up his water glass and took a sip, his expression calm. He had grown up seeing this happen to Liu Yifei countless times. In public, anyone who saw her would find it impossible to look away.
"Sister Xixi, why did you steal my line?" Zhang Li set down his glass.
"Hmm?" Liu Yifei glanced at him sideways.
"Let me explain to everyone," Zhang Li said, spreading his hands out toward Liu Yifei. "This is my sister, Liu Yifei."
The group: "..."
That tone was a bit punchable.
Jing Tian raised an eyebrow, thinking back to the message Zhang Li had sent her on QQ. *Now that is what you call showing off!*
"You two really look alike. No wonder you’re siblings," Dou Xiao immediately chimed in to support him. No wonder Zhang Li was so handsome—he’d been ashamed to compare himself, but it turned out it was all in the superior genes. The two of them clearly looked like family.
Cai Wenjing and the others: "..."
They had different surnames; they clearly weren't biological siblings. Looked like family? Yeah, right.
"You have a good eye," Liu Yifei smiled brightly. "He was raised by me, so of course he looks like me."
"Don't start every time you meet my friends by saying I was raised by you," Zhang Li said with a helpless smile, then began the introductions: "This is Dou Xiao, this is Cai Wenjing, this is Pan Zhilin... they’re all in my class."
"And this is Jing Tian, and this is Cai Biyun, they’re seniors from the '07 cohort."
After the introductions, there was a momentary lull in the conversation.
[Page 3/3]
Faced with Liu Yifei, even social butterflies like Cai Biyun and Cai Wenjing became reserved for a moment.
Fortunately, there was Zhang Li. While serving everyone lamb bones, he joked, "To think three Beijing Film Academy campus belles have gathered in this tiny room. What did this place do to deserve such luck?"
"I’m not officially a campus belle," Jing Tian replied generously. "Just a candidate."
There were two schools of thought regarding the '07 class belles: Jing Tian and Zheng Yuyan. Jing Tian had more support; in terms of pure beauty and temperament, she was indeed more striking. But many preferred the pure, girl-next-door type, and Zheng Yuyan had plenty of fans too. At Beijing Film Academy, if your status as a campus belle was debated and not unanimous, it wasn't considered "pure." People like Yu Feihong, Jiang Qinqin, Huang Shengyi, and Liu Yifei were undisputed, having been elected by overwhelming votes.
"Tian Tian, you’re actually admitting it?" Cai Biyun teased. "You never used to acknowledge it."
"Because the winner doesn't need to state their own case," Zhang Li immediately backed her up. If he were voting, the '07 class belle would definitely be Jing Tian; the school forums were full of her photos.
"Three campus belles?" Cai Wenjing put down a bone. "You aren't counting me, are you?"
"Eww~" Everyone let out a chorus of playful jeers.
"I was clearly talking about Little Pan," Zhang Li said with a smile in his eyes. "She’s the most talented girl south of the Yangtze."
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare," Pan Zhilin’s small face turned bright red. Although she was a child star who had worked with Zhao Yanzi and Chen Kun at age nine, and had been admitted to the acting department with the second-highest score in the country—the top score for girls—she really didn't dare claim such a title.
"You really are a troll," Zhang Li said, looking at Cai Wenjing with "contempt."
"This is unbearable!" Cai Wenjing threw down her bone and looked at Liu Yifei: "Sister Yifei, since this jerk was raised by you, you must know his birthday, right?"
Zhang Li: !!!
"If you still acknowledge me as your brother, don't say it," Zhang Li said, looking at Liu Yifei with a dead-serious expression.
*Pfft.*
Jing Tian suddenly couldn't hold back a laugh.
Liu Yifei blinked: "Is my stinky little brother threatening me?"
Zhang Li: "..."
