Chapter 107: Frenzied Lashing
Kim Jung-hyun stepped onto the arena with a solemn expression, feeling a sense of nervousness. He had witnessed with his own eyes how Koizumi Shiro, a late-stage Post-Natal warrior, had been completely humiliated by Wang Gang; naturally, this weighed heavily on him. After all, his strength was on par with Koizumi’s. He had expected his only opponent to be Koizumi, but he hadn't anticipated the emergence of a powerhouse like Wang Gang.
"Beat him to a pulp! Send that Kimchi-country trash packing!"
"Go Wang Gang! Take that scum down!"
"Hahaha, I can already see that guy being trampled under Wang Gang's feet. It’s so exciting!"
The audience from the Yanhuang nation roared toward Wang Gang on the stage. Kim Jung-hyun had been arrogant earlier, calling Yanhuang warriors trash, and everyone had been harboring a deep resentment. Now that the opportunity had arrived, they were not about to miss the chance to mock him. Everyone was certain that Wang Gang would defeat Kim Jung-hyun, as the strength Wang Gang had displayed was overwhelming. The three warriors from the Fusang nation had all been easily defeated, suffering miserable fates.
Hearing the jeers and insults from all sides, Kim Jung-hyun’s face darkened, and a surge of anger welled up within him. Looking directly at Wang Gang, his eyes hardened with resolve.
"You warriors from the Kimchi country and the Fusang nation are all bottom-tier trash," Wang Gang provoked. "Make your move. I’m going to trample you into the dirt." His tone was arrogant and wild, and his expression appeared utterly dismissive. To Kim Jung-hyun, this insolent attitude was infuriating.
"Arrogant!" Kim Jung-hyun roared and launched an attack at Wang Gang. He unleashed his full power as a late-stage Post-Natal warrior, holding nothing back. He knew Wang Gang would be difficult to handle, so he had to give it his all. The power erupting from a Post-Natal warrior was not to be underestimated, causing the surrounding air to churn in chaos. With a single step, the floor of the arena cracked. He charged forward like a wild bull, his momentum fierce.
Facing the attack, Wang Gang sneered. He met the charge head-on, channeling his internal techniques to engage Kim Jung-hyun in a fierce battle. Their fists collided, creating explosive sounds like the beating of war drums. The fight was brutal, enough to make one’s blood boil, especially the thunderous sound of their power clashing, which sent a surge of excitement through the crowd.
Wang Gang’s fists were wrapped in a pale cyan glow, his strikes sharp and domineering, striking fear into the hearts of onlookers. Every time Kim Jung-hyun crossed paths with Wang Gang, he was knocked back by the immense force, his knuckles going numb.
*How can this guy’s strength be so great?* Kim Jung-hyun wondered, feeling secretly alarmed. They were both late-stage Post-Natal warriors; why was Wang Gang’s explosive force so much stronger? This puzzled him deeply. As the fight continued, he felt increasing pressure and fell into a passive position. Meanwhile, Wang Gang fought with growing ferocity, each strike carrying a bone-chilling power.
The audience, seeing Wang Gang suppress Kim Jung-hyun and drive him back, already knew the outcome. The Yanhuang spectators broke into cheers, filled with excitement. Tian Xinxin was all smiles as she reported on the fierce Wang Gang to the camera, determined to capture every moment of his performance for the Yanhuang audience.
"How is this kid so strong?" Li Xianzhong stared at Wang Gang on the arena, his expression grim. He realized that his disciple had no chance of winning; defeat was only a matter of time. He simply could not fathom why Wang Gang’s strength was so overwhelming when they were at the same cultivation level.
"Mr. Yang’s disciple is truly extraordinary. The outcome is clear; the first prize in this International Martial Arts Tournament belongs to Yanhuang," Elder Han said with a chuckle. He felt a deep sense of admiration. It was rare for a young man like Yang Fan to cultivate such an outstanding disciple.
"Indeed, it is Yanhuang’s good fortune to have a talented individual like Mr. Yang," Chen Yanggong added with a smile. Yang Fan simply smiled in response, remaining silent.
Elder Han looked at Yang Fan with sincere eyes. "Mr. Yang, if you are willing to serve the nation, I can offer you a prominent position."
Yang Fan shook his head and politely declined. "I appreciate your kindness, Elder Han. Please rest assured, as I carry the blood of Yanhuang, I will never do anything to harm it. This, I can guarantee."
Elder Han sighed, feeling disappointed. Since Yang Fan had already made his stance clear, he did not wish to press the issue further. On the stage, Wang Gang had forced Kim Jung-hyun to the edge, though he had no intention of simply knocking him off. He seized an opening, grabbed Kim Jung-hyun’s wrist, and yanked him back. Kim panicked and lashed out with a fierce kick, but Wang Gang blocked it. With a sudden burst of strength, Wang Gang lifted him with one hand and slammed him violently into the arena floor.
*BOOM!*
Kim Jung-hyun was smashed hard against the solid stage, his bones feeling as though they were shattering. His chest tightened, and he spat out a mouthful of blood, his face turning deathly pale. Wang Gang did not stop; he delivered a vicious kick directly to Kim’s chest, launching him five meters into the air. This blow stripped Kim Jung-hyun of all fighting strength, leaving him sprawled on the stage like a corpse.
Stepping over to him, Wang Gang placed his foot on Kim’s cheek. "Warriors from the Kimchi country really are trash. To be this weak and yet so arrogant—it’s absolutely laughable." Wang Gang had no intention of missing this chance to humiliate him. Stepping on Kim’s face was, in effect, stepping on the faces of all warriors from the Kimchi country. The warriors from that nation watched with burning eyes, consumed by fury.
"You go too far! He has already lost; is such humiliation necessary?" Li Xianzhong glared at Wang Gang, shouting in rage. Seeing his disciple trampled underfoot, he felt personally insulted.
"Heh, when your skills are inferior, you must pay the price for your words," Wang Gang chuckled, showing no fear of Li Xianzhong. "Since he had the guts to call Yanhuang warriors trash, he must pay for it. I’m just making him realize that he is the trashiest of them all."
Li Xianzhong was livid, desperate to rush up and cripple Wang Gang. As for Kim Jung-hyun, he felt an agonizing sense of shame, his eyes filled with hatred. "Just you wait. I will make you pay for today’s humiliation a hundred times over!"
"Oh? Still talking tough?" Wang Gang grinned, revealing a grim smile. He hoisted Kim Jung-hyun up and began to unleash a flurry of slaps.
*Slap! Slap! Slap!*
Wang Gang whipped his hand across Kim’s face repeatedly. Before long, Kim’s face was swollen like a pig’s head, and blood trickled from the corners of his mouth. The onlookers gasped; Wang Gang’s methods were truly ruthless. Naturally, the Yanhuang audience found it immensely satisfying, wishing they could be the ones doing the slapping.
"You are courting death!" Li Xianzhong, unable to contain his rage any longer, leaped from his seat and charged toward the arena.
