Back home, Yu Qian asked Yang Fan to cook while she relaxed in the living room watching TV.

“Hey, can’t you come over and help wash the vegetables?” Yang Fan complained, noticing Yu Qian just sitting there watching television.

It felt like he was the family chef now.

“I’m tired. You’re a grown man; do you really want to argue with a woman like me?” Yu Qian said with a coquettish smile, her voice soft and sweet enough to make one’s bones melt.

“I really can’t stand that voice of yours,” Yang Fan said, a shiver running down his spine at her girlish tone.

Better to just cook by himself.

Seeing Yang Fan’s exasperated expression, Yu Qian’s lips curved into a smug smile.

Soon, the dishes were ready.

Yu Qian, with an empty stomach, sat down to eat.

Yang Fan’s cooking was delicious, and it greatly whetted her appetite; she ate much more than usual.

After the meal, Yu Qian looked at Yang Fan and said, “Remember to accompany me tomorrow night.”

“Got it,” Yang Fan nodded.

Smiling, Yu Qian returned to her room.

After eating, Yang Fan cleaned up the dishes himself.

He felt utterly frustrated.

Here, it was as if he were Yu Qian’s male housekeeper—cooking, washing dishes; all on him alone.

Once everything was done, Yang Fan took a shower and then returned to his room to continue his training.

The next evening, Yu Qian finished her shower early and dressed carefully.

Tonight, she was attending a grand gala in Jiangcheng and had prepared herself meticulously.

Wearing a white off-shoulder evening gown, her flawless pale skin shimmered with a radiant glow, imparting an ethereal charm.

The long gown cinched at the waist perfectly showcased her devilish figure.

Tonight, she was a breathtaking beauty, like a fairy descended from the heavens.

She was very satisfied with her appearance.

“Yang Fan, are you ready yet?” Yu Qian knocked on his door.

Inside, Yang Fan wore a black suit, his handsome face making him look every bit the wealthy and handsome gentleman.

“Uh, I don’t know how to tie a tie,” he said, opening the door with a frustrated look.

He seldom wore suits and wasn’t adept at tying ties.

“Come in, I’ll help you with it,” Yu Qian said, feigning annoyance.

She had Yang Fan stand still and began tying the tie for him.

Being so close to the opposite sex made Yu Qian somewhat nervous, her cheeks flushing lightly.

Helping Yang Fan with his tie filled her with an inexplicable happiness.

“All done!” she said, clapping her hands.

Looking at the tall, handsome Yang Fan before her, surprise flickered in her eyes.

The two went downstairs together and drove to the gala.

“Tonight, our main goal is to find someone named Li Yuanhe,” Yu Qian said as she drove. “He’s a CEO hired by the Chen family in Jiangcheng, mainly in charge of the Mong Kok piece of land.”

“Why are you telling me all this? You can make the decisions yourself,” Yang Fan said indifferently. “I know nothing about business.”

Yu Qian shot him a glare. “You’re the largest shareholder now. If I make a decision, I have to tell you.”

“Alright, continue. I’m listening,” Yang Fan shrugged.

“When you get there, be polite and greet everyone you meet,” she reminded him.

“I don’t know those people. Why bother greeting them?” Yang Fan said, annoyed.

Hearing that, Yu Qian decided to let it go.

The gala was held at a famous villa in Jiangcheng.

The attendees were all local elites, influential figures in the city.

Parking the car outside the villa, Yu Qian hooked her arm through Yang Fan’s, and they entered together.

After handing over their invitations to the attendant, they stepped inside.

Yang Fan noticed many people had already gathered; the atmosphere was lively.

Arm in arm with Yu Qian, he moved through the crowd, greeting acquaintances as they went.

“Oh, President Yu! Long time no see. You’re getting more beautiful by the day,” a middle-aged man said as he approached.

Yu Qian smiled and nodded. “President Wang, long time no see.”

President Wang’s gaze shifted to Yang Fan beside Yu Qian, curiosity flickering in his eyes. “President Yu, may I ask who this is?”

“He’s Yang Fan, my boyfriend,” Yu Qian replied with a smile.

“Haha, President Yu has finally found her true love. Looks like all those suitors will be heartbroken,” President Wang laughed.

Surprised to hear Yang Fan was Yu Qian’s boyfriend, President Wang wondered about his identity, curious how he had won her heart.

Yu Qian smiled and then asked, “President Wang, have you seen President Li?”

“You mean Li Yuanhe?” President Wang pointed towards a spot. “He’s right over there.”

“Thank you, we’ll catch up later,” Yu Qian smiled gratefully.

“Looking forward to it,” President Wang lifted his glass and took a sip.

Yu Qian led Yang Fan toward Li Yuanhe.

“Why did you say I’m your boyfriend?” Yang Fan asked, annoyed.

Yu Qian shot him a glare. “Since you don’t want people to know you’re the largest shareholder of Yuanfu Catering Group, I have to say that.”

Yang Fan couldn’t argue and just accepted it.

As Yu Qian and Yang Fan entered, they caught the attention of others.

At a nearby table, Zhao Wei sat with Liu Yan, speaking with a young man while occasionally glancing at Yu Qian.

“Chen Shao, that woman is Yu Qian, CEO of Yuanfu Catering Group. Are you interested in her?” Zhao Wei said with a smile.

The young man was Chen Yang, the young master of the Chen family in Jiangcheng.

Seeing Chen Yang’s interest in Yu Qian, Zhao Wei felt an opportunity arise.

He intended to use Chen Yang to teach Yang Fan a lesson.

“Heh, so she’s a small-time CEO. She’s pretty, but let’s see how she is in bed,” Chen Yang said, his eyes full of admiration.

It was the first time he saw such a beauty, and his interest was piqued.

Moreover, Yu Qian was a CEO, which stirred a strong desire to conquer in Chen Yang’s heart.

“Chen Shao, if you want to win her over, you have to deal with that pretty boy by her side first,” Zhao Wei advised.

“Pretty boy?” Chen Yang looked puzzled.

A CEO keeping a pretty boy? That seemed unlikely.

“That guy by her side is it,” Zhao Wei said confidently. “I once caught her shopping with that pretty boy.”

The memory of that shopping trip made Zhao Wei feel aggrieved.

Chen Yang raised an eyebrow, displeased.

The woman he fancied was keeping a pretty boy? That was outrageous.

“Hmph, just a pretty boy. What can he do?” Chen Yang sneered.

Zhao Wei felt secretly triumphant.

He was eagerly anticipating seeing Yang Fan humiliated.

The thought excited him, making him impatient.
