Chapter 115: Prince Peak
“Zifeng Wang, stop bothering me. I’ve told you, I don’t like you,” Li Qiuya said impatiently inside the room.
She was utterly exasperated. Earlier today, she had attended a business event and had been relentlessly pursued by Zifeng Wang, unable to shake him off.
If it weren’t for the fact that Zifeng was the heir to Tianyu Media Group, Li Qiuya would have lost her temper long ago.
“Li Qiuya, my feelings for you are sincere; heaven and earth bear witness,” Zifeng Wang said earnestly, holding a delicate box as he confessed.
He had coveted Li Qiuya for a long time and had been searching for an opportunity to connect with her. Now that his father’s Tianyu Entertainment had a project to collaborate with Li Qiuya’s agency, he saw his chance.
So, he launched a full-scale pursuit, hoping to win over the beauty’s heart.
But Li Qiuya felt nothing for him and had clearly rejected his advances.
Yet he refused to give up. He found out where she lived and came to confess in person.
Yang Fan shook his head, walked to his room’s door, and opened it to go inside.
Back home, he first took a shower and then settled quietly in his room to practice cultivation.
Outside, however, Zifeng Wang hadn’t left. Instead, he lingered stubbornly in front of Li Qiuya’s door, calling out repeatedly, hoping she would open.
“Li Qiuya, I’m sincere. Can’t you give me a chance?” Zifeng called loudly.
But Li Qiuya remained silent inside the room.
She covered her ears and sat watching TV, turning up the volume.
Zifeng felt deeply slighted—he hadn’t expected to be so blatantly ignored.
His father’s Tianyu Media Group was renowned across the Yanhuang Kingdom as a major entertainment conglomerate.
As the heir, countless celebrities sought to curry favor with him.
But Li Qiuya made him feel defeated.
That only fueled his stubborn desire; he was determined to win her over.
“Li Qiuya, if you don’t come out to see me, I won’t leave,” Zifeng declared firmly.
He stationed his two bodyguards nearby and stood resolutely in front of her door.
Hearing Zifeng’s stubborn refusal to leave, Li Qiuya was furious.
“That damned brat, just because he has some filthy money,” she cursed silently.
She was not materialistic and couldn’t care less about how rich Zifeng’s family was.
She knew his character well.
He relied on his status and had rumors swirling around him with countless female stars; the internet-famous beauties came and went at his whim.
How could she ever accept such a man’s pursuit?
Even if it meant offending him, she would not yield.
“Is this woman really not going to come out?” Zifeng stared at her door, feeling miserable.
Being rejected by a woman like this embarrassed him.
He had never before been so coldly dismissed in his romantic pursuits.
Now, with Li Qiuya, he had suffered a humiliating loss.
“If you don’t come out, I’ll come every day until you do,” he shouted.
His voice echoed through the hallway, audible to all the residents on the floor.
Though displeased, no one dared confront Zifeng.
Everyone feared stirring trouble with someone they couldn’t afford to provoke.
After waiting for half an hour with no response, Zifeng grew more resentful.
He glanced at Yang Fan’s door and hatched a plan.
“Knock, knock, knock.”
Zifeng went to Yang Fan’s door and knocked forcefully.
“Brother, come out for a moment. I want to talk,” Zifeng called.
Inside, Yang Fan was practicing cultivation and frowned at the interruption.
He disliked being disturbed.
Yang Fan came out, opened the door, and coldly asked, “What is it?”
“Brother, how much do you want for your place? I’ll buy it. Name your price,” Zifeng boasted arrogantly.
His family was wealthy; buying an apartment was no problem.
Yang Fan’s place was directly opposite Li Qiuya’s, and Zifeng wanted to buy it.
That way, he could keep watch outside her door every day and continue his pursuit.
He was confident that with enough money, he could persuade Yang Fan to sell.
“No interest,” Yang Fan refused outright and shut the door.
Zifeng was stunned by such bluntness but instantly irritated.
“Brother, just say how much,” Zifeng knocked again, calling out.
Yang Fan was furious.
He opened the door again, staring coldly at Zifeng. “I’ll say this once more: I’m not selling. If you bother me again, I won’t be polite.”
With that, he slammed the door.
“Damn it! You’ve got some nerve! Say that again and see what happens!” Zifeng shouted angrily at the closed door.
Being threatened naturally riled him up.
In Yuancheng, Zifeng Wang had never feared anyone.
“Come out right now!” he banged on the door, shouting.
Yang Fan had reached the limit of his patience.
He stepped forward and opened the door.
Zifeng was about to unleash a tirade but was cut short.
“Bang.”
A heavy blow struck Zifeng’s abdomen, forcing him to his knees in agony.
He gasped for breath, clutching his stomach, unable to speak from the pain.
Yang Fan’s punch was no light strike; it landed hard.
After a moment, the pain subsided somewhat, and Zifeng glared at Yang Fan.
“How dare you hit me?”
“Smack!”
Before he finished, another slap landed across Zifeng’s cheek, leaving a red handprint and blood at the corner of his mouth.
The blow stunned him.
The man before him was ruthless.
“What are you waiting for? Take him down!” Zifeng barked to his two bodyguards.
They rushed in immediately, intent on overpowering Yang Fan.
But before they could get close, Yang Fan kicked both of them away.
Neither could see exactly how he struck but both were sent crashing to the ground.
Unable to rise, the two guards were effectively neutralized.
Seeing his men so easily defeated, Zifeng’s face turned pale.
“Next time, I’ll break you,” Yang Fan said coldly before slamming the door.
Zifeng glanced fearfully at the door, feeling a chill in his bones.
Those cold, merciless eyes made him feel as if death itself was watching him; his scalp tingled.
He had no desire to stay any longer and, with his guards, slunk away.
Li Qiuya heard the commotion outside, came to the door, and saw Zifeng leaving in disgrace.
“Is that guy back?” she wondered, eyes lingering on Yang Fan’s door.
After a moment’s thought, she walked over and knocked.
