Chapter 65: Kicked Away
After Yang Fan taught Zhou Tong the training method, he sent him back to practice.
The next day at noon, Zhou Tong brought his little sister along to see Yang Fan, and together they headed to Jiangcheng No. 2 High School.
Zhou Tong’s sister was named Zhou Meiya, her face sweet and adorable, with large, round, spirited eyes. She was seventeen and a junior in high school.
When Zhou Meiya saw Yang Fan, curiosity sparkled in her eyes. She’d heard her brother had found a remarkable teacher. Today, they were heading to school together to settle the score with those troublesome students.
“Are you really able to handle them?” Zhou Meiya asked, her round eyes fixed on Yang Fan.
“Don’t worry, they’re just a few misbehaving students. I haven’t even taken them seriously. As soon as we find them, I’ll take care of things for you,” Yang Fan replied with a confident smile. “You won’t have to worry about being bullied again.”
Back when he was a student on Earth, Yang Fan had experienced school violence himself, and he harbored a deep hatred for such things.
“Meiya, our master is amazing. Zhang Hao and his gang are definitely in for a lesson,” Zhou Tong said excitedly.
Seeing Yang Fan’s confidence, Zhou Meiya blinked, feeling a glimmer of hope in her heart. Still, she couldn’t help being afraid—Zhang Hao had many followers and connections with local thugs. No one at school dared cross him.
Soon, the three arrived at the school gates of Jiangcheng No. 2 High School. Classes hadn’t started yet, and many students were chatting at the small shop near the gate.
“Master, Zhang Hao and his crew hang out at that little shop every day after class,” Zhou Tong pointed to a convenience stand by the entrance.
He glanced over and spotted Zhang Hao sitting right outside the shop. At that moment, Zhang Hao lounged in a chair, a cigarette dangling from his lips, wearing a smug, cocky grin. A girl, dressed provocatively, perched on his lap.
He flicked away his cigarette and wrapped an arm around the girl’s waist. The two kissed passionately, oblivious to the stares from those around them.
The students at the shop acted as if this was nothing out of the ordinary. Many looked on with envy.
“Zhang Hao, Zhou Tong actually showed up at school. Should we go teach him a lesson?” a student said, noticing Zhou Tong approach.
Hearing Zhou Tong had the nerve to come to school, Zhang Hao glanced over.
“Well, look who’s here. The kid actually dares to show his face. Guess he’s asking for it,” Zhang Hao sneered. “I already said, if he dares set foot here, he gets beaten every time.”
“And that little tramp with him—we should give her a good beating. She pisses me off just by being here,” Liu Yan spat, pointing at Zhou Meiya.
Liu Yan was Zhou Meiya’s classmate. Jealous of Meiya’s beauty and the attention she drew from the boys, Liu Yan often looked for opportunities to pick on her. This had led to her being beaten up by Zhou Tong.
“Heh, don’t worry. If that guy dares lay a finger on my girl, he’ll pay the price,” Zhang Hao said, patting Liu Yan on the rear so she’d stand up.
“Zhang Hao, there’s someone with Zhou Tong. He might be backup,” another student warned.
“So what? He’s a bit older than us, big deal. We’ve got numbers—what’s there to be afraid of?” Zhang Hao scoffed, full of disdain. Surrounded by more than a dozen cronies, he didn’t believe they couldn’t handle Yang Fan.
With a wave, Zhang Hao led his group over to Zhou Tong, his face twisted in mockery.
“Well, Zhou Tong, do you not understand what I say? I told you to stay home. Show up at school, and you’ll get a beating every time,” Zhang Hao said as he lit another cigarette.
“Haha, he must be itching for it, coming over to let us loosen up his bones,” one of Zhang Hao’s friends laughed.
“Let’s see if his bones can take a beating.”
“Damn, that look in his eyes pisses me off. My fists are getting itchy,” another sneered.
Zhang Hao’s followers eyed Zhou Tong with malicious amusement. They relished beating people up—it gave them a chance to show off in front of their peers and bask in the fear they inspired.
By now, many students had noticed the confrontation and watched from a distance.
“Zhang Hao’s at it again. Wonder who’s unlucky this time.”
“I know that guy—Zhou Tong. I heard he beat up Zhang Hao’s girlfriend, so Zhang Hao and his crew gave him a thrashing.”
“Man, Zhou Tong must have a death wish to lay a hand on Zhang Hao’s girl.”
“Damn, Zhang Hao’s out of control. With those thug connections, he bullies people openly—he’s a cancer at this school.”
At Jiangcheng No. 2 High, there was no student more infamous than Zhang Hao. Not even the school beauty rivaled his notoriety.
His family was wealthy, and he was always surrounded by a gang of students, acting arrogant and unrestrained. Most of the fights at school were started by him. If not for his father’s connections, he’d have been expelled long ago.
“You bastard,” Zhou Tong glared at Zhang Hao with hatred, cursing him.
With Yang Fan by his side, Zhou Tong was unafraid—he felt emboldened.
“Say that again if you dare. I’ll break your legs,” Zhang Hao’s expression darkened at Zhou Tong’s insult, his gaze icy.
“What, can’t understand plain words?” Zhou Tong’s lips curled into a cold smile. “I said, you’re a dog.”
“You little shit!” Zhang Hao roared, kicking at Zhou Tong’s chest—hard enough that if it connected, it would hurt.
Zhou Tong sneered, stepped back, and struck out with his right hand.
“Aaagh!”
Zhang Hao screamed in agony—his thigh had taken a heavy blow, the pain intense, as if the bone would break.
After a night of training, even though Zhou Tong hadn’t broken through to the next level, his body had been cleansed and strengthened. He was much stronger than before.
So when Zhang Hao was hit, he was in real pain.
The surrounding students were stunned—they hadn’t expected Zhou Tong to fight back.
Zhang Hao’s face contorted in pain—it was clear he’d taken a serious hit.
“Get him! Beat him until he can’t stand!” Zhang Hao snarled at his followers, his face twisted in rage. He’d been humiliated, and wouldn’t rest until he’d dished out a beating. With a wealthy family, he figured at worst he’d pay some compensation afterwards.
At Zhang Hao’s command, over a dozen students charged at Zhou Tong.
The onlookers could already imagine the tragic scene of Zhou Tong being beaten—it would be brutal.
But Yang Fan stepped in front of Zhou Tong.
The first attacker was sent flying by a single powerful kick from Yang Fan, crashing into the students behind him.
Everyone froze in shock.
That kick was monstrous—one blow sent a person flying more than five meters.
The students who had been ready to charge were all stunned, rooted to the spot by the ferocity of Yang Fan’s kick, not daring to move forward.
