The elite legion surged forward like tigers released from their cages. Ferocious and unstoppable, they tore through the enemy's sea of corpses like a sharp blade. Possessing immense regenerative abilities and rock-hard bones, they were living weapons, each capable of taking on ten at once.

"They're this strong?"

Chiyan’s expression turned grave. He hadn't expected the zombies to have such high evolutionary levels. He watched as his own subordinates were shredded or devoured, unable to put up any resistance. Behind the five hundred elite legionnaires, thousands more from the horde crossed the river, flooding into his territory.

On a large boulder, Cheng Luoyi leaped down. With a sharp metallic clang, she drew her long blade and slung it over her shoulder.

"Let’s go join the fun."

"Wait for me, I'm coming too," Sun Xiaoqiang replied, hurrying after her. On the slick ice, he slipped every few steps, essentially "sliding" all the way to the other side.

The two sides of the zombie tide had collided, and the battle reached a fever pitch. The battlefield was a chaotic hellscape of roars, howls, and the sickening sound of flesh being torn apart.

At the center of the fray, the Cat-Faced Old Woman was drenched in blood, her half-human, half-feline face twisted in a hideous grimace. Encircled by the elite legion, even a Zombie King struggled to hold her ground. She let out a sharp, ear-piercing shriek that shook the earth, pushing her possession ability to its absolute limit.

The elite soldiers surrounding her froze in place, their pupils contracting until they transformed into slit-like cat eyes.

"Nice work!" Chiyan praised. Those elite zombies had been a major headache for him; only a Zombie King could deal with them, but the Cat-Faced Old Woman’s trick was the perfect counter. And now, they were his to command. He was fortunate to have such a bizarre subordinate.

But no one noticed the shadow behind the Cat-Faced Old Woman. A mass of pitch-black darkness was writhing, rising up like an emissary of the void, coalescing into a humanoid form.

"Hehehehe, sneak attack! *Thwack!*"

The small shadow’s bone claws plunged into the back of the Cat-Faced Old Woman’s heart. With a wet squelch, dark blood sprayed out. Her eyes widened, the chill of death gripping her soul.

The elite soldiers she had just possessed suddenly lost their feline eyes, their pupils dilating as their original, savage nature returned. They all turned to look at her.

"Roar—!"

Following a vicious cry, five or six elite zombies lunged at her, pinning her to the ground and tearing into her flesh.

"Aooooh!"

The Cat-Faced Old Woman let out a hysterical scream before being completely swallowed by the sea of zombies.

"It's over!"

Chiyan the Zombie King frowned. It seemed she couldn't handle praise; no sooner had he complimented her than she was blindsided. It didn't look like she would survive.

No sooner had the elite legion crossed the river than they had taken out one of his major generals. Just then, Lin Dong appeared on the other side of the bridge. Wherever his "Zombie Domain" swept, countless zombies exploded into pieces—he was completely unstoppable. With every step he took, legions of zombies perished, as if Death himself were approaching.

Surrounding him, other Zombie Kings like Xiao Ba, Tank, and Doctor were also locked in a killing frenzy, blood spraying and severed limbs flying.

In the midst of this massive clash, a human scent lingered. Chiyan looked over and saw Cheng Luoyi swinging her great blade, slaughtering his men. Lightning danced along the edge of her sword, leaving a trail of gore and mangled flesh in its wake as she resumed her "zombie juicing."

"Damn it! A human dares to come here and cause trouble?"

Chiyan was consumed by rage. He hadn't expected humans to be involved in a battle between Zombie Kings. If it weren't for them, the enemy would never have crossed the river.

"Ghost Infant! Go kill her! No matter the cost!"

"Yes!"

The Ghost Infant Zombie King vanished, lunging straight for Cheng Luoyi. Chiyan’s gaze, however, remained fixed on Lin Dong. Now that they had breached his territory, there was no turning back. He lunged forward, his massive, muscular frame charging like a locomotive with unstoppable momentum.

Lin Dong glanced at him, utterly indifferent. He expanded his domain, the crushing pressure fracturing the very ground and enveloping Chiyan.

"This damn pressure..."

Chiyan’s speed plummeted. He had intended to land a punch, but in a blink, Lin Dong was right in front of him, his fist already striking out. Chiyan had no choice but to shift from offense to defense, crossing his arms to block.

*BOOM!*

A dull thud echoed. Lin Dong’s fist struck like a dragon emerging from the sea, an overwhelming, unstoppable force erupting upon impact. Chiyan felt his arms go numb, his body flying back like a kite with a broken string. He tumbled several times before slamming into the ground.

He looked down to see his arms covered in cracks, dark blood oozing from the fissures. Although his recovery was powerful and immediately began to knit the wounds, the healing was noticeably slower than before.

Chiyan knew that if this continued, he wouldn't last long.

Meanwhile, Cheng Luoyi was in the middle of her slaughter when she noticed a terrifying figure rapidly closing in on her.

The Ghost Infant Zombie King raised its claws and swiped at her. The sound of the air being torn apart shrieked in her ears. Cheng Luoyi scanned the threat with cold eyes and raised her blade to block.

*Clang!*

The blade rang out with a metallic chime so sharp it threatened to pierce her eardrums. The webbing between Cheng Luoyi’s thumb and forefinger split, blood trickling out.

"A mere piece of food dares to attack our territory? You’re asking for death!" the Ghost Infant hissed, becoming even more deranged at the sight of blood.

Cheng Luoyi remained silent, continuing to swing her blade. She channeled her lightning-attribute core, causing electric sparks to flicker as she moved at her limit. The Ghost Infant was no weakling, however; it reacted instantly, its sharp claws blocking every strike.

Both figures became a blur of afterimages, sparks flying as they traded blows in a fierce exchange.

However, perhaps because she was human, the scent of her blood began to attract more zombies, including many elites. She had to snatch moments between strikes to cut them down.

This gave the Ghost Infant an opening. It lunged forward, its long, jagged nails piercing through Cheng Luoyi’s shoulder in a spray of blood.

Cheng Luoyi kept her expressionless face, raising her leg to kick the Ghost Infant’s round belly, sending it flying over ten meters away.

They were temporarily separated. Blood flowed from Cheng Luoyi’s shoulder, quickly staining her clothes a dark, vivid red like a blooming flower. The scent of that fresh blood drove the surrounding zombies into a frenzy. Like starving wolves catching the scent of prey, they began to close in.

Before long, a massive crowd of zombies had gathered around her, their faces twisted with bloodlust as they formed three layers of tight encirclement.

Cheng Luoyi looked around. She had originally planned to just hang back and stay out of the way since this wasn't her home turf, but she hadn't expected so many zombies to swarm her.

"Hey now, isn't this just bullying an honest person..."
